On the 9th of June 2021, CSS <\/span>played a vital role that facilitated the <\/span>movement of Mi-8 helicopters from <\/span>Jebel Ali Port in Dubai, UAE, to the <\/span>Republic of Colombia.<\/span><\/p>\n The operations commenced with <\/span>the transportation of the two Mi-8 <\/span>helicopter units from Dubai World <\/span>Central Airport to the CSS CFS <\/span>in Jebel Ali. The cargo units were <\/span>offloaded using a 50-ton crane and <\/span>then heat shrink wrapped to ensure <\/span>damage-free transportation across <\/span>the oceans to their final destination. <\/span>Flexible and durable, heat shrink <\/span>wrapping ensures that the cargo <\/span>is completely weatherproof and <\/span>tamperproof, regardless of its size. <\/span>The helicopters were loaded onto 40\u2019 <\/span>Flatrack units and then dispatched to <\/span>Jebel Ali Port after securely loading <\/span>and lashing them onto the specialized <\/span>air suspension low bed trucks.<\/span><\/p>\n One often thinks that helicopters <\/span>are flown from the point of origin to <\/span>their destination. However, it is more <\/span>likely that helicopters are shipped <\/span>either by sea or air freight.
