CSS eLogix marked a significant presence at the Cargo Business Summit held at Cochin International Airport (CIAL), Cochin, from 31 January to 1 February. The participation reinforced its commitment to strengthening global e-commerce logistics partnerships and exploring emerging trade opportunities. The summit brought together industry leaders, logistics providers, airline operators, and cargo stakeholders to discuss the evolving future of supply chain and e-commerce operations.
Cochin International Airport is widely recognised as one of India’s most advanced cargo hubs and the world’s first fully solar-powered airport. Since launching cargo operations in 2000, CIAL has maintained uninterrupted service for more than 25 years.
It has continuously enhanced its infrastructure. Its modern cargo complex efficiently handles perishables and non-perishables, and is also supported by an advanced electronic customs clearance system. The recently expanded export warehouse and plans for a dedicated Cargo Park reflect CIAL’s strong commitment to building a future-ready and comprehensive logistics ecosystem.
Strategic Collaboration and Business Opportunities
CSS eLogix participated in the summit to explore collaboration opportunities aligned with growing cross-border trade demands. Discussions provided valuable insights into CIAL’s strategic direction, including its active exploration of expanding e-commerce courier operations from the airport. With strong operational capabilities in handling perishable cargo and expanding connectivity, CIAL presents significant potential for integrated logistics solutions.
The event also opened avenues for collaboration by connecting CSS services with Duty Free suppliers, enabling CSS clients to showcase and sell products through CIAL Duty Free outlets. Further discussions focused on Sea–Air logistics solutions combining ocean freight and airfreight connectivity between Asian markets and destinations across Europe and the United States, enhancing transit efficiency and supply chain flexibility. Engagements with B2C shipment operators enabled the exploration of partnerships to improve cross-border fulfillment and last-mile delivery solutions. Several airline operators expressed interest in strengthening cooperation with CSS, with visits to the company’s headquarters expected in the coming months.

A key highlight of the summit was Dr. Britto Satheesh, Director of eLogix, participating as a panelist in the session titled “Redefining the Role of E-commerce Players & Courier Freight Agencies.” The discussion focused on how cross-border e-commerce is transforming India–Middle East trade flows, the importance of international consolidation hubs in facilitating express cargo movement, and strategies for Indian exporters to better utilize global e-commerce platforms. In recognition of his contribution, Dr. Britto Satheesh was awarded a commemorative memento by S. Suhas, Managing Director of CIAL.
