CSS CELEBRATES OUR PEOPLE AND OUR TRIUMPH OVER THE ODDS THAT FACED US LAST YEAR

CSS celebrated its people, the very strength of the company, with a grand office party at Fortune Hotel, Dubai on 8th October 2021 at Fortune Plaza hotel. The night of festivities was marked with joyous celebrations and a fantastic display of the talent of Team CSS. The special night was also significant as we honored the people of CSS for their tireless hard work and dedication during the tough seasons.

CSS has always has displayed strength in the face of battles, and we have managed to emerge resilient and even stronger post the pandemic. Our Chairman, TS Kaladharan, spoke at the gathering, emphasizing, “At CSS, we believe in a culture of camaraderie and a celebration of every individual that makes Team CSS. It’s your commitment and perseverance that has brought us this far and will continue to propel our growth story”.

As we emerged out of the pandemic’s restrictions, we wanted to bring everyone together across operational teams to connect and find commonalities outside of work we would not have done otherwise.

CSS TO IMPLEMENT VIDEO SURVEILLANCE AS A SOLUTION BY ETISALAT

CSS’s top management team met with Etisalat for the initial discussions to implement the Etisalat Video Surveillance as a Solution (VSAAS) along with a Smart Messaging Platform. Etisalat Video Surveillance as a Solution provides business enterprises with value-added services that address their security and regulatory compliance requirements.

Enabled by the state-of-the-art onsite video surveillance technology that will be deployed at CSS, Etisalat can proactively use, manage, troubleshoot, and support this solution. Hamad Mohammed Al Marzooqi, VP of Etisalat Managed SMB, Khalid M Yateem, Director of Etisalat Managed SMB and Jithesh Vijakumar, Sales Manager, Etisalat attended the meeting, along with the CSS team, which included Chandrakala, Krishna Kaladharan, Susanth Shekar, Pothen Thomas, and Arun Snehajan. A visit to the Innovation Center has also been scheduled for the near future.

It was a room full of variety dishes and beaming faces. Christmas decors all around, red, gold and green colours were predominant. Celebration, gifts and carol songs and the pot luck lunch with around 30 dishes from starters to desserts. CSS Group celebrated Christmas this time in style on the 22nd in the office and the 25th of December in the Warehouse.

Santa arrived, but not in a sledge as the tradition recommends. Instead he came in full style in a Forklift, the CSS way. Gifts were distributed amongst the staff members. Cake cutting on the 22nd was done by Chandrakala (CK), Director Ocean freight operations in the office and on 25th it was done by T S Kaladharan, Chairman of CSS Group.

Mahabali Crystal Award

The enthusiastic team at the CSLC 1, Jebel Ali, won this year’s Mahabali Crystal Award for the best Pookkalam (Kerala Traditional Flower Carpet) created in connection with the Onam celebrations.
Every year, in connection with Onam celebrations, at CSS Group, a competition is being held amongst all offices for identifying the best creator of Pookkalam on the main day of Onam, ie; Thiruvonam. Each office engages their best creative team to make amazingly beautiful designs only with flower. The photographs later on will be sent to a judging panel. Celebrating 20 Years of Excellence



Consolidated Shipping Group celebrated its 20th anniversary of operations in the field of freight forwarding and logistics from March 12 to 14, 2015. The new Hyatt Regency Dubai Creek Heights was the main venue for the functions where the conferences and meetings were conducted. The conference on the 13th March was attended by the Global agents and partners of CSS Group along with the senior management and Sales and Marketing heads from all CSS offices. There were some interesting presentations from guest speakers representing Maersk line, Abudhabi ports authority and Oman International container terminal (O.I.C.T)

On the 14th March a one to one networking session was hosted at Hyatt Regency Dubai Creek Heights. The overseas agents were provided with an opportunity to interact with each and every department of CSS Group and also with the associate and franchisee offices of the company. The agents had to register on-line prior to the event for availing this provision. The day saw some very healthy and fruitful interaction between the delegates.

A gala dinner was hosted on the 13th March at the Hyatt Regency Dubai Creek Heights which was attended by all overseas guests as well as invitees from the UAE. The night was made memorable by an instrumental fusion by renowned names from the world of music. The team which enthralled the audience included legendary instrumentalists like Gino Banks, Ghatam Uduppa, Purbayan Chatterjee, Mohini Dey & Stefan Devassy.

THE CLUB, ABU DHABI HOSTED CSS CARNIVAL THEME PARTY

In Abu Dhabi, The Club hosted a carnival theme party on March 14 for the Global Partners and associates of CSS Group. The evening saw a mesmerizing musical performance by the renowned South Indian musical band, Masala Coffee on the stage. There were plenty of other entertainment activities like Samba dance, fair dance, photo booth etc..

20 Years with CSS Group

N. Anil Kumar, Director Finance & Admin, U B Prince, COO at Twin Info Solutions, the BPO division of CSS Group and Santhosh Kumar, Documentation Head became the most respected personnel of CSS Group when they were honoured for their long standing service with the company during the 20th anniversary celebrations. They were presented with a Gold Pendent and a crystal memento during the gala dinner on the 13th March. The awards were handed over by T S Kaladharan, Chairman CSS Group.

15 Years with CSS Group

The carnival theme party in Abu Dhabi became more colour full with an award function. CSS Group honoured their staffs that have completed 15 years of service with the group company. The Chairman and the senior management distributed the crystal mementos to all the awardees on the stage during the evening party. The staffs that have completed 10 years of service were also called up on to the stage and appreciated. Their gifts were later distributed from the HR department.

The 20th Anniversary Golf Event Organized By CSS Group in Dubai




As part of  CSS’s 20th anniversary celebrations in the UAE the company organized a corporate golf day at the Dubai Creek Golf and yacht club, which was attended by the overseas agents of CSS Group and golfers from the UAE Forwarding and Logistics community.

CSS chose Dubai as the venue for this event as it’s known to be one of the best golf courses in the region. The course was not only appealing for the golfers taking part, the event was a curtain raiser for the get together which followed the days and nights after wards

The players enjoyed a round of golf at a sporting oasis in the heart of the city which has a distinct aura of a delightful journey across the fabled landscape of Dubai, a city that thrives in all seasons.

Dubai Creek Golf and Yacht Club – Well-groomed fairways lined with date palms, attractive water body and shrubbery lends a tropical air to the Club’s 18-hole, par-71 championship course that rolls into thousands of undulating yards.

The majestic Clubhouse – its design mirroring the sails of the traditional Arab dhow – has been one of the most photographed landmarks since it opened in 1993, capturing the essence of Dubai’s seafaring traditions and presenting the perfect fusion of heritage with modernity and style.

The Game

The CSS golf event was based on a Texas scramble team event whereby the players were randomly put amongst overseas guests and local dignitaries, as this event was an ideal opportunity for the attendees to meet each other and interact.

On the concluding day of the strategy meet, the entire team celebrated the birthday of Kala and Ahmed Fuad. The birthday celebrations were held amidst music band and Cypriote cultural programmes. The night was meant to enjoy and the group sang and dance with the performers. Gifts too were handed over to those who celebrated the birthday and to a few others who entertained the group. Richard’s birthday too was celebrated the previous day inside the restaurant in the resort. The entire group wished him good fortune as well by singing birthday songs.

Celebrating 10 Years in Style- CSLC 2

The Supply Chain Management facility CSLC- 2, of CSS Group began its operations in June 2004, with limited customers and today, has grown to become the preferred partner for major multinationals within the region. Located in JAFZA, one of the largest man made ports in the world, the facility is located close to the main container terminal which is naturally convenient for all parties involved. The current infrastructure of the facility is spread over 25,000 sq.mtrs with 14,000 sq.mtrs of state of the art racked warehousing that has a cargo capacity of 1050 TEUs. In addition, CSS Group is looking to expand this space by an additional 3000 sq.mtrs by the end of this year. The office space is around 300 sq.mtrs with an additional dedicated area of 500 sq.mtrs for value added jobs.
Supply chain management (SCM) is a necessity in today’s business. It is a dynamic issue. It is the focus of key issues such as the global market place for sourcing and sales and with outsourcing. Staff Party 2014

CSS GROUP CELEBRATED ITS 19TH ANNIVERSARY STAFF PARTY IN ABU DHABI

CSS Group celebrated its 19th anniversary staff party at The Club in Abu Dhabi on Thursday April 3rd, 2014. The annual party began at 8.30 pm with the employees and their family members arriving at the venue. The party commenced with the opening remarks from the CSS Group Chairman, T.S. Kaladharan. As part of the celebration the employees who had completed 10 years of service, Rejinish Chandra, Indran Jayandan, Sunil Panicker, Suresh Sukumaran, Anoop Peethambaran, were honoured for their valuable service.

After the award ceremony there were special performances by the CSS employees and their family members, which included dance solo’s, solo singing, group singing and dances. To entertain the guests, CSS Group arranged a special appearance by DJ’s & RJ’s from local popular radio station, HIT FM. A combination of musical performances from Riyaz on the guitar and percussions, RJ Nimmy singing, RJ & DJ Kips on the turntables and singer Shamir performed favourite Asian hits much to the crowd’s delight, which had them dancing into the late hours of the night. On behalf of the CSS Group, Chairman and the Senior management thanked the sponsors and overseas guests who participated and contributed to the CSS Annual Staff Party and all valued associates who had sponsored the prizes for the CSS raffle draw.

A special thanks goes out to the CSS Staff Party Committee who helped organize this grand evening for the entire CSS staff, as without their assistance the evening would not have been such a success.

CSS Volunteers at Al Noor Family Fun Day in Dubai

CSS Group has actively participated in various CSR events over the years and has witnessed a positive response from its employees, through their active participation. Continuing the tradition of its CSR program, CSS volunteered for the Al Noor-Samsung Family Fun Fair on Friday February 28th, 2014 that took place at the Al Noor Training Centre for Children with Special Needs premises. It is an exciting community event that has been specially created for a noble cause.

“The Annual Family Fun Fair has become a highly anticipated Annual Event of the year in the Al Noor Calendar. With more than 5,000 people attending, this carnival-like event had games, bouncy castles, hands-on activities, crafts, performers and many other activities for all – children, youth, adults and elders,” added Amith Horra, Marketing Manager CSS. The CSS staff’s involvement included volunteering their time and strength to assist the organizers with various tasks relating to the fun fair ranging from various food counters, game stations and raffle draws.

ABOUT AL NOOR

Al Noor Training Centre for Children with Special Needs opened its doors in Dubai on November 21, 1981, starting with only eight children. The Centre serves children with special needs from different nationalities and can accommodate up to 300 children in their facility. The Centre has been generously donated by His Highness Sheikh Mohammad Bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Vice President and Prime Minister of the U.A.E. and Ruler of Dubai and was made possible through the benefaction of HRH Princess Haya Bint Al Hussein.

HIT 96.7 Radio Stars Take Home The World Record for Longest Marathon for a Radio Music Show

HIT 96.7 has recently celebrated the confirmation of the Guinness World Record for the ‘Longest Marathon for a Radio Music Show – Team.’

Hit 96.7 is a leading Malayalam radio station in Dubai which forms part of the Arabian Radio Network attempted to break the existing world record of 77 hr 11min.

The RJ duo, Sindhu and Mithun spent 84 hours broadcasting live the show Radio Active on Hit 96.7. The show went live at 5pm on 5th December from a specially set-up broadcast stage at Lulu Al Barsha, one of the many popular shopping venues in Dubai. The duo finally managed to hang up their headphones at 5am on 9th December 2013 and became the New Record Holders.’ Commenting on the World Record, Mahmoud al Rasheed, ARN general manager says, “We are proud of the Hit 96.7 teams record breaking achievement, 84 hours of nonstop broadcasting is no mean task and we support all our network stations with their creative ideas in connecting with their listeners”

Hit 96.7 caters to the expat Keralites who make up the largest expat community in the UAE. This is the only 24 hour Malayalam Station in Dubai playing non-stop Malayalam Hits. Steve Smith, ARN COO says,“Our teams create world class entertainment programs and the phenomenal support from our listeners who attended to witness this record breaking event, proves the power of radio and our stance within this community.”

At 10.12pm on Sunday, Guinness World Records Limited’s Mena project manager SamerKhallouf announced that Sindhu and Mithun are Officially Amazing — the tagline of Guinness World Records and broke the record set in Singapore earlier this year.Their names will appear as the new record holders of “Longest marathon for a radio music show DJ-team” in the Guinness World Records.

CSS Group would like to take this opportunity to congratulate the team at Hit 96.7 on this record-breaking achievement and for all the hard work and effort that they put into the event. Events such as this, really put a spotlight on the Keralite music industry as a whole and allow for global recognition of an important sector of the Keralite entertainment industry.

Hundreds of loyal fans and supporters had flocked to the Lulu Hypermarket in Al Barsha where they hosted the show from a makeshift studio. Celebrations of their victory reached a peak when they hit their target. The RJs dedicated their achievement to Dubai for winning the Expo 2020 host city’s title, the entire Malayalee community and their listeners.
